Vitamin D, vitamin C and zinc each play their part in the cold months. When to start a course and how long to keep it up.

Start with your need

The right formula is the one that answers what you feel day to day: tiredness, a restless night, a sensitive stomach, dull skin. Begin there, rather than with the longest list of ingredients.

Read the label

Look for the form of each nutrient, the amount per daily dose and the share of the reference intake it covers. A short list in meaningful amounts beats a long one in traces.

  • Take your course at the same time each day.
  • Give it four to eight weeks before judging it.
  • Ask your doctor if you take medicines or are pregnant.

Pair it with habits

Sleep, daylight, water and a varied plate do most of the work. A supplement helps them, it never replaces them.

Fewer products, chosen well, taken regularly.
